mmmm cupcakes!

This weekend was crazy busy. This Monday (27th Nov) was Colin's 30th birthday... Friday night we went out for dinner to Jamie Oliver's restuarant Fifteen - so good, then Saturday we threw a party... I spent all day cleaning and baking yummy cakes ... peanut butter chocolate cupcakes (which I've made before and I think they're Colin's faves) and these babies, which went down a storm

They're chocolate cupcakes (the same recipe I use for the peanut butter filled ones) with morello cherry jam smeared ontop, whipped cream (I whipped up some fresh cream rather than that fake aerosol stuff), a morello cherry on top with grated chocolate... mini blackforest gateaux!! (I think I need to practice my piping skills as they were a bit wonky as you can tell from the pic!)

Also I finally got my hair cut this weekend and bought some GHD hair straighteners - how on earth did I manage to cope without them!
