Change the world - RAKs etc....

Today's UKS Blog Prompt:
What are five ways you can think of (or perhaps have done) that may change the course of someone's life for the better? What small things can you do to make the world a better place?

There's a book that I was given as a present by a buddy of mine Change the World for under a fiver Everyone should read this book!!

My five ways:

Today I lent a scrapbooking book (CK Encyclopedia) to a new scrapbooking friend that I met through UKS who works in the same building as me here in Canary Wharf. (Hi Jo and Jane if you're reading this!!!)

Tomorrow I'm going on a weekend with some girl friends for a hen party, I've made a lovely card with loads of funky coloured flowers on for the Hen, which I know she will love.

I always say good morning to the security guards that check my pass as I enter the building here... so many hundreds of people pass them by without even noticing they're there.

I recycle...everything... paper, cardboard, glass, tin, plastic, clothes, books, bric-a-brac and have just bought a compost bin and installed water retainers in the loos. I think that will make a difference to someone someday, pity more people don't think like that.

Some people may see this as a big thing, but to me it's pretty small, 3 times a year I take an hour out of my day and I give blood. I've got O neg which is the rarest and the most needed so I like to think this really does help.

So how could you help change the world, or just make someone smile?

Totally agree about people ignoring security guys, a bit like getting on a bus and just waving your pass at the driver without saying anything.
